About The Instructors |

Marty Oelrich will be
discussing a methodological approach to interviewing PDD
examinees regarding computer and Internet use. Topics covered
will include an understanding of motivations for using the
Internet to engage in sexual behavior, how individuals use
computers and the Internet to engage in sexual behaviors,
considerations for PDD examiners, test construction, as well
as many other topics associated with interviewing about
computer and Internet use. Several semi-structured interviews
will be presented in addition to several case examples and
online demonstrations. This presentation includes information
that is applicable to pre-conviction and post-conviction
populations. Please note that this presentation will contain
graphic material, which may be offensive to some viewers.

Bill Majeski is a veteran of the NYPD
where he had a distinguished career for 21 years as a
Detective and earned a reputation for being sagacious. His law
enforcement expertise encompasses a vast array of criminal and
internal investigations, from Homicides through to Political
Corruption. That experience has been significantly enhanced
over the past 20 years working in the private sector. Bill
provides his clients with training, consulting, case and crime
analysis and investigative solutions. He has an expertise in
interviewing and interrogation techniques and developed “The
Power Interview” and “Strategic Interviewing”. Since 1974, he
has been a practicing polygraph examiner for both law
enforcement and the private sector. He has personally
conducted thousands of interviews, interrogations and
polygraph examinations.
He is currently an Adjunct Professor at
Centenary College. For ten years he directed academic programs
as the Chief Instructor for the New York Institute of
Polygraph Science. Mr. Majeski lectures on interviewing
techniques, interpretation of body language, investigative
procedures, polygraph methodology and a host of other topics
to corporate, private sectors, and government agencies both in
the Unites States and abroad.
Mr. Majeski has written many articles for
professional journals and has been published in Parade
Magazine. He has had the distinction of being featured in many
publications including: Time Magazine, the Sunday New York
Times and the New York Daily News. He is the author of "The
Lie Detection Book"(a book on body language), which was
published by Ballantine Publications. Additionally he is a
co-compiler of a textbook titled "Corporate Investigations",
published by Lawyers & Judges Publishing Company. |
